So my question is can enabling XMP in my motherboard UEFI and using Profile 1 hurt my computer in any way? I assume not because my ram speed is advertised as 1866Mhz but it only shows up as 1600mhz. Also are there any drawbacks to enabling XMP? I saw in an old thread from 2009 someone was saying that it changed a few things in their bios like disabling turbo on their CPU.
My specs are
CPU: i7-4790k
Motherboard: Asrock Fatal1ty Z97x Killer
GPU: EVGA 1070 Black Edition
Ram: 2x4GB PNY XLR8 1866mhz & 1x8GB Kingston HyperX 1866Mhz
PSU: EVGA G2 850w

Solution
Nothing I can think of. If the RAM is recognized and boosted, it is doing what it was supposed to do. Sometimes the result is stable performance increases, sometimes not so stable.

Thank you. I'm gonna try it.
