So I tried to play escape from tarkov today and the servers have been overloaded due to the popularity of the game now.

I keep getting infinite loading screens and other times it's just a blank menu screen. Only way to quit is to use task manager and ending the game that way. I stopped playing it after quiting 3x. They're fixing the issue now as it's not my fault it wouldn't load. I'm just wondering however, does ending tarkov or any game via task manager bad for my PC?

I played Witcher 3 after tarkov wasn't working and I crashed for the first time since my playthrough..do you guys think it's related or is it just coincidence?

Solution
It's always possible, but unlikely. The only time a game could corrupt from force close is during installation or updates and it would only affect THAT game, not other games. Force closing during gameplay, even if not-repsonding, only stops the process in the RAM and CPU, the drive is only called upon when loading new assets like maps or textures. I'd recommend you restart your computer when you force close a game to prevent any conflicts if your computer is feeling sluggish after the force close.

I play tarkov and the one thing I know about it is that it's poorly coded and not optimized, it has messed with my computer a few times before.

I'll see you on the field man, don't you dare camp at exfil, I'll find you.

Yeah there was nothing I could have done. The game was stuck at the main menu but no options were loaded. Couldn't even quit the game properly.

So yeah I had to force quit via ending task. If you think I'm fine though I'll just wait till they fix tarkov.

In terms of messing with your PC though, what do you mean?
