Question Can g-sync work on freesync moniton with dp female to hdmi male adapter?

Im looking for a new monitor and im thinking of buying this one: https://www.amazon.com/LG-29WK500-P-Monitor-Dual-UltraWide/dp/B07BBT5M8T

so i wonder if i could use an adapter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Converter-Phizli-Compliant-Dual-Mode/dp/B077JMLGMG/ref=sr_1_3?crid=U7ZSWGTP6E20&keywords=dp+female+to+hdmi+male&qid=1563291463&s=gateway&sprefix=dp+female+,aps,253&sr=8-3

to connect the dp cable from my graphics card to the monitor that has obly hdmi outputs. Will i be able to enable g-sync this way?

Gsync requires Display port. I doubt it will work with an adapter.
