ANY comments? Don't bother. AGP4x is fast enough for even the mighty 9800XT, let alone the weak 9200. Making it work at AGP8x speed will offer you absolutely no performance gains, and could potentially cause problems.

Don't even bother with 8x on a 9200. There is a neglible difference between 4x and 8x on a 9800xt in VERY demanding applications. 4x is more than enough for the 9200, heck, 2x might even be good enough for a 9200.

Yargh! You beat me by 2 minutes!!! I agree with you completely though...except <<could potentially cause problems>>. Is that really true? If it is, that is messed up.

Damn Rambus.

Why would you want to run it at 8x??? IT WILL DO NOTHING EXTRA!!!! It's not about winning or losing, in fact, you (according to crash, at least) jeopardize your system's stability by running it at 8x.

Damn Rambus.

Some boards have trouble running some cards in AGP8x mode. If it's hard to enable, it's not worth enabling. Even if your chances of having stability problems are small.

He's probably right about your card not even loosing much in AGP2x mode, I'd be very pleased running such a card in 4x mode.

Oh ok, so it's not a graphics card problem...that makes sense now (I don't know why, but I thought it was the graphics card responsible, not mobo related).
