Hi,

Right now I'm using a Corsair Vengance DDR4 8GB 3000MHz RAM card. It's just the one card, although I am getting another one soon since my PC keeps shutting down while playing games as suggested by a repair shop I went to, but to ask, shouldn't I be able to continue playing on the B450M DS3H mobo with just the single channel RAM or do I need the dual channel to keep playing without the computer shutting down?

Other specs are
-Ryzen 5 2600 CPU
-CoolerMaster Masterwatt 650W 80 plus bronze
-MSI Radeon RX 580 GPU
-Samsung 970 EVO m2 drive
-Seagate Barracuda 2TB internal HDD

Solution
Running 1 dimm should work fine. Maybe slightly slower than 2 but not super important.

A: the dimm could be damaged in some way.

B: try a different slot on the motherboard, i have luck with the furthest one from the cpu.
