Can Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3 handle gtx970 Graphics card?

Hello. I'd like to know if the Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3 I'm using can handle a graphics card upgrade from Gigabyte gtx670 to gtx970 (brand not specified) properly. Also, if it does work, whether there are potential issues, drawbacks, bottlenecks or anything that I should be aware of before proceeding with the upgrade. (including casual overclocking-wise)

My current specs are:
CPU Intel i7 2600K
PSU Seasonic (don't recall specifics, but definitely has adequate power)
Mainboard Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3
RAM Corsair Vengeance 4x2GB
Monitor Samsung 1080p 32" TV

(I plan to also upgrade to 1440p 144hz gaming in the far future if I can, so the then-old gtx970 will come in handy, too.)

It should work, I'm not sure why it wouldn't. Your GPU won't be bottlenecked by your CPU so it should be fine. Typically the issue with bottlenecks is the CPU and you can see here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html that the i7-2600k is a top tier CPU. In the unlikely event that it does bottleneck, you could overclock your CPU a bit.

Thanks for the heads-up and the good read. I guess I will either wait for the driver fix(?) or put together a new rig from scratch instead.
