Can GPU coil whine be eliminated by switching from 60 Hz monitor to 144 Hz when at a high FPS?

I am having some pretty bad coil whine issues only when playing Rocket League, which is understandable because I am consistently playing at 250 FPS (I also only have a MSI GTX 1060). When I put my ear up to my PC, it seems as though the coil whine is either coming from the GPU or the motherboard. However, since Rocket League is the only game I play where the FPS goes over 120 or so, I am about 90% sure that the coil whine is coming from the GPU (it also stops right away when I exit out of the game).

With all that being said, is the coil whine most likely being caused by the refresh rate of 60 Hz not being able to keep up with the 250 FPS or is it simply because of the load my GPU is under when at an FPS that high? If it is because of the 60 Hz monitor, would switching from a 60 Hz monitor that I currently have to a 144 Hz help eliminate the coil whine?

The noise doesn't really bother me, so as long as I am not damaging anything then I really don't care much. This is more of just me being curious about if the 144 Hz would make a difference if I were to get one.

Thank you!

Solution
144hz appears smoother over 60hz. Doesn't really do anything to the GPU. If you are getting 250 now at 1080p, a 144hz at 1080p will still get 250 so nothing would change.
I understand what your asking, I'm on the same boat now as well.
If the coil whine is due to gpu load there should be no change if you upgrade the monitor.
However if the whine is due to being over the refresh rate then getting a monitor with a higher refresh rate would reduce the noise.
From my own experience I feel like it might be the second point, I don't have anyway to test with a different monitor but if I open a game like Darksiders ii in the menu I get over 5k GPS and the noise is like a jet. But in other games at 100 fps it's much quieter, still there but not as noticeable.
Any actual testing evidence with other monitors would be great though.

Monitor itself will make no difference. If you're drawing 5000 FPS, yeah, that causes massive coil whine on mine too - the solution is capping that to a usable FPS that your monitor can display (60 or what have you).

Whine at 100 FPS - higher refresh rate will make no difference. Limiting it to 60 on the 60 Hz monitor will cut some of the whine.
