I recently bought Razer Hammerhead Pro V2, when I use it on my laptop while its charging, i hear a hissing sound, not very loud but it gets annoying. When I mute my laptop the hissing will be mute as well or when I remove the charger. My laptop had a history of short circuit or something so its charger is just a replacement. I tried other cheap earphones on it and I don't hear any hissing noise however, when I use my razer earphones on my PC in our office it doesn't make any hissing sound so I have no idea what is faulty. Can this possibly damage my earphones? This is damn expensive and new I can't risk using it if it has a high possibility of damage due to ground loop.

Solution
What you are hearing is static.
Problem is most likely cheap crappy onboard soundcard. Good headphones will reproduce everything they'll get from the soundcard. Also static.
It won't damage your headphones. It's just annoying.
Solution - buy external soudcard.

thank you very much for the response, the safety of my earphones is just my concern but I'll consider buying an external soundcard. Is there also no software solutions?
