can gtx 750 run on my smps?

i currently have intex 500 w smps can it run gtx 750?or i should buy corsair 450 w smps and radeon r7 250x?is there much performance diffrence between radeon r7 250x and gtx 750?

the 750 is a little faster i believe and uses less power. a 300 watt psu is sufficient for either of those gpu

Your 750 is a pretty good choice but always and you won't need to worry about the PSU as the 750 draws power from the PCI express and so is very power efficient,thanks to its maxwell architecture from nvidia

That depends on how much amps are there on the +12V rail of your cheap PSU.
Can you post a picture of your PSU? (The power distribution side)

Wrong, can a GPU run without power?
The GPU takes 75W from the PCIe slot which gets its power from the +12V rail.
The PSU he has could be extremely cheap. Those PSUs are meant for non-GPU systems.

that 500 watt psu should be able to output at least 300 watts, and the gtx 750 is an extremely low power draw card. yes it is a low quality psu and should be replaced immediatly, but a gtx 750 will do no harm

The GTX 750 may not do no harm but may not perform at its maximum performance(which most people ignore).
Example of a 500W model which is actually safe to consider as a 204W model.
Ratings for the 500W model is also listed:

An entry level system with GTX 750 will require atleast 220W.
