can gtx 770 overkill 1600x900 resolution moniter

i guys i have ordered a gtx 770 , i have a 1600x900 reso moniter
my friend told me that gtx 770 can overkill you moniter so i did not understand what does he mean by overkill so tell me guys is there any problem if we run gtx 770 on a 1600x900 resolution moniter
and what does overkill mean

I think what he meant is it's gonna run anything beautifully with insanely high FPS. You won't break your monitor using a GTX770. 😀

I think he meant that the graphics card is really really powerful at that resolution. You'll be able to play almost every game if not every game on ultra settings xD.

Overkill just means you have more power than needed. It will not hurt your monitor. The 770 will play most games at 1080 - 1600 x 900 will be easy. If you upgrade our monitor - you will still be fine.

i was thinking that 1600 reso moniter can harm gtx 770
and i have a crosair 650psu

i did'nt care about my moniter i thought that if it could harm gtx 770 so i hav to change it XD
