[SOLVED] Can HDMI have a separated audio cable?

Hello guys.

I'm buying an LG monitor with inbuilt speakers. It has HDMI and VGA ports and an additional 3.5mm jack audio input. But it doesn't include the audio cable.

I've read the HDMI can carry the audio signal.
So I wonder if the HDMI cable will be enough to use the monitor speakers or if the audio feature of the HDMI has some restrictions or require some additional configuration that I need to know, and the default usage of this monitor speakers is through its 3.5mm jack input.

Any help will be appreciated.

You should not need any additional cables/adapters. The HDMI should provide audio to the monitor's speakers.
