Can High Resolution Picture Cause Damage?

I have a laptop with standard resolution of 1366x768. I want to change wallpaper to an image of 3096x4081 resolution. Can I do it without damaging my screen?
I am cautious because recently while using my FHD TV ad monitor I set the 4k wallpaper and it was restarting again and again. Also was overheating Please hep me out!

The thing is....your screen is a wide rectangle and your pic is a tall one.
Are you aware that it's never going to scale and fit the whole screen?

That being said....I would resize the image so the height is 768......and use the image that way.

You can use any sized picture as your wallpaper. Windows will scale the picture size down to your resolution. Choose the FILL setting. If your picture is tall and not wide, I would use the FIT setting.
