I was wondering if my house speakers being right next to my desktop can hard my HDD or any other part of the computer? One speaker is right next to the tower, also I have a car sub and amp under the table my LCD computer monitor is on, can that hurt my computer monitor also?

Solution
If the speakers are not shielded, it can cause problems with data loss if they are powerful speakers, the volume is high, and they are close enough to the case. Your HDD depends on delicate magnetic signals, but it is encased in a shielded metal case. Still... no sense taking chances.

If you have a magnetic compass, put it next to the speakers about the distance that the PC is. See if the needle fluctuates off true north when they play. You can try your phone's compass, but I don't know if they use magnetic principals for it to work, or if they just rely on GPS. So it might not be a true test.
