Can I 2-Way Crossfire or 2-Way SLI a Gtx760 and a Gtx970 Together With A Gigabyte Ultra Durable 797x-SLI BlizzCon 2014 Exclusive Motherboard

Needing This For a Vr Setup Dont Want to get rid of my 760 Because it has some sort of overclocking on it and etc. On the Ge Force Website they say they are both SLI Compatible Just want to be sure

Can someone Explain the Difference Between Crossfire and SLI

They are not compatible.

Each is capable of SLI, but it must be with a matching card.

The GTX 760 does not match the GTX 970.

No. You can only SLI the same models. EG, a 970 with a 970.

SLI is for NVidia cards and Crossfire is for AMD cards. Same concept, same rules, same cards only.

Not now but possibly in the future as windows 10 does support using 2 differant types of videocard. No promises tho as it may not work good.
