Hello, I'm here to enquire more about this model, Gigabyte g24f. Can I achieve 165hz when it's connected to my laptop? I've asked some of my friends, they said it's not guaranteed, so here I am to get accurate answers.
My laptop model is FA6061-IHN241T(Asus Tuf Gaming A15), made by ASUS TUF GAMING. Hope to hear from you soon.

Solution
The seller of the monitor told me there's no guarantee if it can support 165hz.
if specs state it is a 165Hz display but the seller states they don't know if it can support this refresh rate i would be returning it ASAP.
this probably means it is defective and they are just unloading it.

if the GPU can output 165Hz at your intended resolution,
if you are using a cable capable of handling the bandwidth needed,
and your display supports 165Hz at it's native resolution then it would work.

determine what CPU/iGPU or dedicated GPU the laptop has.

the system specifications on the packaging, in the manual, and/or on the product support webpage will provide information regarding the included GPU and its capabilities.
yes, it did, but it wasn't clearly specified. The seller of the monitor told me there's no guarantee if it can support 165hz.
Ive did my own research and found out most laptops can only support 144hz when connected to external monitor.
