Question Can I add 1.35v RAM to work with 1.5v RAM on Lenovo G580

I've got a ramaxel rmt3170eb68e9w-1600 module that works at 1.5v. There's another empty slot to add RAM and I want to add another 4GB. I found RAM for sale that's 1.35v with all other same specs. Can they work together? I went to a computer store and the worker told me that it won't work but after doing some research I've come to the conclusion that it will work. I'm just scared of it not working or maybe messing up the module.

Can they work together?

Can they work together? Yes - they can. DDR3L can work in 1.5V mode too.
Will they work together? You'll have to try and see. Mixing different modules (not from same kit) usually works, but can also cause problems.

No. Unless you use extremely high dram voltages.
1.65V is the upper limit for DDR3.
