Assuming you have available slots and the chipset can handle 8GB, you shouldn't really have a problem. Some RAM can be finicky though. The RAM will collectively run at the slower of the two speeds should they be different.
On the graphics front, drop in whatever card you want. Just be sure that A) it will actually fit, and B) that your power supply has enough amperage and wattage to power it and everything else as well as the connectors needed.
