Hi there,

I currently have a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250 GB for my C drive. Am into Music Production , due to DAW and extra plugins 250 GB is not sufficient.

On the same motherboard, can i add additional Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SATA 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-76E500) as C drive, and make current 250 GB as D drive, and other HDD as followed?

PC Config:
• Intel i5-4440, 3.10 GHz LGA 1150 processor
• Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H motherboard
• Corsair vengeance 4GB X 2, 1600 MHz PC3-12800 RAM
• Samsung 250GB EVO 850 SSD HDD (Using it for C drive only)
• Toshiba MK1002TSKB 1TB internal hard disk
• Sapphire R7 260X 2GB DDR5 graphic card
• Using 2 external HDD

Solution
Your motherboard has 6 sata ports, so you can use up to 6 sata drives.
Note - if you're using M.2 drive, then only 4 sata ports are available.

So yes - you can add another sata drive - Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SATA 2.5".
