Can I add another harddrive?

Hey guys, I have a 500gb hard drive from my old computer atm I have 3tb, but anyway I was just wondering if you can add another harddrive if so, will it come up as a different , (example: Mine is atm WINDOWS (C:) So if I put it in will it come up seperate or will it join windows (C:)?) It's doesn't come up as a smiley face it's this C : ) But all together.

Well, yes. Most often the answer is yes. The only question I would ask is if you are pushing your power supply. How many watts is it and what video cards, CPU, DVD/CD etc. is installed. Assume that it is 400 Watts or higher no problem added just a second drive. If it is less than 400Watts there might be a small chance of a problem but just a small chance.

The drive will show up as a separate drive letter. If you format with a Linux partition Windows will pretty much ignore it. If you format with an NTFS file system then the drive letter will be assigned and Windows will access it.
