I'm using this computer for audio processing. Can I make it better?

Memory and RAM are the same thing.

Yes you can add more, but if your are running 32bit windows you will be limited to 3-4GB RAM anyway even if more ram is installed.

Shoving another two 512mb or 1GB sticks would be advisable.

Check the compatibility of the RAM with your motherboard before buying anything.

You could also look at adding a new fast hard drive if you are still using original drive that came with PC. Audio processing like to move a lot of data, and a fast hard drive make life easier when you are copying files around, not to mention better boot time.

For audio you could use something like a spinpoint f3 1tb for $60 or a fast WD black 1.5TB drive for $140. Or, since audio tends to be small, you could go with a small 60 to 120 GB SSD.... for a lot more. Check you MB for open SATA connectors or plan to replace your current disk.
