Hi everyone, I have a pc with motherboard: gigabyte b550m aorus elite dual m.2 and an m.2 kingston a2000 500gb ssd (where I installed windows), 1 tb barracuda sata and asus dual rtx 3070 video card.
Now I wanted to replace 1 tb barracuda sata with m.2 kingston a2000 1tb ssd.
I saw that my motherboard supports two m.2 ssd, now I wanted to know if I can add another m.2 kingston a2000 1tb ssd without problems or other consequences.
Thank you all.

1 x M.2 connector (M2B_SB), integrated in the Chipset, supporting Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SSDs:
  1. Supporting SATA and PCIe 3.0 x2 SSDs
So yes but will work with reduced speed because it's x2 instead of x4 like first slot.

But will it always be faster than a 1 tb barracuda sata I already have?
In your opinion, should I replace it? (not counting the price)

Of course many times faster, even faster than SATA SSDs. You can expect about 1/2 of it's rated speed.
Thank you so much so much! You have been very kind!
One last question: does mounting two m.2 affect the performance / temperature of the motherboard or video card?
