Can i apply Artic Silver 5 over Zalman's ZM-STG1?

I building my own system based on FX-62 CPU and i plan to use Zalman 9500 for AM2 which comes with ZM-STG1 thermal compund. I've read somewhere that Artixc Silver 5 could be applied over the Zalman compund, is that true?

i think performance would be better just with a single applied thermal compound.

clean off the Zalman compound and just apply the Artic Silver as a replacement. i dont see any benefit to mixing the two...
