Hello everyone,

I was recently given a ZyXEL USG 50 by my employer since they no longer had any use for it. To my understanding, this device has quite a few features that can be enabled. I want to attach this to my network and use it as my main firewall from WAN to LAN. As of right now, I have a Sagemcom F@ST 5280 as my WIFI/LAN router. Is it possible to use the Sagemcom router strictly for its WIFI capabilities and connect the LAN output of the USG 50 to the WAN port of the 5280?

Unfortunately because your sagecom is also your dsl modem, you'll lose wifi if you directly bridge the usg50. You could leave the sagecom in router mode, but then only your wired devices will be behind the usg50 and you'll also have a double nat situation.
