[SOLVED] can i barely run vr with a gtx 1050?

I don't think it'll be a smooth experience with the 1050. I've gamed a few times with people who've played using the 1050 ti and they really had to keep the settings on the lowest to have mostly smooth gameplay (drastic FPS dips in VR can cause really bad motion sickness) and those were people who ran a CPU & memory at or above the recommended settings.

Try testing using Steam's VR test or the Oculus test.

What are your other specs?


If you buy something like an Oculus S I'd make sure it's something you can return just in case...

I will note, the channel lowspecgamer has posted videos on VR with low specs, and the consensus is you can play it on systems as weak as a vega 11 iGPU, however anything below minimum spec has the possibility of you getting motion sick faster and will likely look terrible. I'm not going to try and summarize the whole set of videos but check it out if you have questions.

Ok so at least the CPU & memory are good. It'll probably take some tweaking but you might be fine with that setup until you get that 2060.
