Can i bend it?

Am thinking about getting the Tri-x 290 instead of buying a 780

but the only prob is that it won't fit in the case (Zalman Z12 Plus)

So can i possibly bend the HDD Cage? or will it break?

will it work? What are the Cons?

maybe i could just bend this area a lil then put the 3 HDDs under it safely?

I don't think bending will do the job. You need a hacksaw or similar. You could always buy a different and shorter R9 280. The triX cooler does not make a big difference.
Actually, in your case, I would buy a GTX780 superclock with the stock titan cooler. It will fit, and your case will be cooler.
Performance will be in the same tier.

I am a big fan of nvidia's cooling and what so ever but i don't have the money for one right now
i can either buy a 290 Tri-x or an MSI one and the 290 has much better cooling so i really wanna get it
do you think hacksawing it would work? i mean what could go wrong?
