i want windows 7, i would prefer professional but will settle for home to cut costs. I want to load win 7 to an SSD, but dont want to deal with all the trouble people have had with that.
can i buy a new SSD with new win7 on it?

No, you need to purchase and install it yourself, unless there is a computer shop you are willing to pay for that service (would have to bring entire computer and Windows 7.) SSD Vendors are not licensed for distribution of Microsoft operating systems, and even if they were, and it was installed you would have to load all the drivers, as each machine is different.

Either way the process is simple, just time comsuming

The installation process looks at your hardware and install the right drivers. You can't install Windows until the SSD is already in your PC. If somebody else installs Windows on the SSD while it's in his PC and then gives you the SSD, you will have the wrong drivers and nothing will work properly.

Just buy an OEM copy of Windows 7 Professional.

Windows is easy to install and why not practice doing it cause you might be doing it every so often. Saves you a shop fee. If you are able to install the drive you can load an OS.
