Thanks for the reply, will consider that !Maybe, memory is finicky so it may or may not work. I'd rather not go through the hassle of selling memory so I'd buy an exact kit and add it to the existing kit and every time I've done this I haven't had issues but it is a gamble. I'll usually disable any memory overclock/XMP, add the new kit in and then enable XMP as long as the system boots previously. You could also go a step further and test with Memtest86 to ensure stability.
No problem, if you don't want to worry about stability or it not working with the existing kit then just grab the 2x16gb as prices are pretty good now. So good I've been thinking of upgrading my system to 32gb as well.Thanks for the reply, will consider that !
