Can I change 12v input to 7v?

Hi
I was wondering if someone knew if i can change 12v input of my cable to 7v so my four fans would spin slower. Cable is: phobya y-adapter 4pin molex to 4 x 3pin 12v

Also please advice me step by step what to do to achieve 7v input via this cable and also what to do with every header that i have in cables. (For example this cable has male and female headers of molex??)

The safest is to use an adapter they are cheap.

Easily done mate as long as you're not using that female pass through header to power any more molex devices from the cable ??

But i cant go for controllers :/

More adapters dont serve me any better. I have 3 pin headers in fans, all of them have to be connected to psu. For that i have that molex 3pin splitter. But problem is that it is 12v and i dont want it to be more than 7v. And i dont know if i need the female header of that molex, i think not? Do you have any suggestions i need it for?

If you don't have anything ugged into it you don't need it mate.

You can do a 7v mod by

1. Pulling & swapping the pins over in the main molex.

2. Cut the cables & resolder.

3. Cut the cables , twist & use plastic electrical tape if your careful & thorough.

At the moment you have cables coming from those fan connectors which will enter the molex connector on one far side edge & also the pin internally next to it.

The cables on the inner pin need to be moved over to the other opposite side of the molex like the 7v on the pic so.

This will give a 7v feed to the fans
