What's the model name of your Dell pc?My other machines are also Dells and running on UEFI the all have the same BIOS, so it should work.

If it doesn't, then you'll be screwed big time. No easy way for reverting back.

Only restore from backup or use of advanced 3rd party partition management tools and manual bootloader recreration.
