Hello ,
Few months Back I bought HP Power Pavilion 15 cb00xx (Japanese Open Box). I have just found that dedicated card Nvidia GEFORCE 1050 GTX is not able to render and preview videos properly on Premiere Pro CC 2019. So my question is Can i Change that Graphic Card with some Good Updated Card which will not cause any trouble during editing of my 4k or FHD videos with premiere Pro 2019 ?

Other Specs of My Laptop are as follows :
16 GB Ram
i7 &7Th Gen 7700HQ @ 2.80 Ghz 2.81 Ghz
4k Display
1Tb Hard
256 SSD

IMO, It is not going to be possible to upgrade the GPU in the laptop as it comes integrated on the motherboard (soldered) together with the graphics subsystem (graphics dedicated RAM). There is a GPU which is soldered and integrated onto the motherboard. The only way to upgrade the graphics, would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in the service manual which may have better graphics.

You can use an external GPU, if your laptop comes with a Thunderbolt port...

Thanks Metal Messiah . I do have Type C USB Port. Will It Work ?

Nope. IMO, I don't think using a type C USB port will work on an eGPU ? It doesn't support external GPUs. It must be a “Thunderbolt” port, which supports higher bandwidth as well. A thunderbolt uses 2 or 4 PCI express lanes so it can enable the access of external GPU to the processor.

USB TYPE C type is really a great standard, as it was created with the idea to bring uniformity in port's standard which it did, and is continuing to do so….

But when it comes to supporting external GPU, that is totally a different story…The port hardware doesn’t have the capability to do that…IMO, one needs thunderbolt hardware support for this…..You need to look at the PCIe bandwidth to run a GPU. USB Type C Gen2 doesn't give any PCIe lanes, which will make running a GPU pretty much impossible. Even Thunderbolt 3, which gives PCIe Gen3 x4 bandwidth, will bottleneck a GPU. For a GPU, you want at least PCIe x8.

BTW, even Even Thunderbolt 3 bottlenecks external GPUs due to bandwidth problems, if I'm not mistaken. The usb type-c port must support thunderbolt-3 for any of the external GPU docks to function, due to the bandwidth thunderbolt-3 provides.

Hello again,

Assuming this is your exact Laptop MODEL, it has no support for Thunderbolt.

Connectivity:

Available ports are nearly identical to the Pavilion 15t with the addition of a USB Type-C Gen. 1 port and the removal of the optical drive. HP elected to not include Thunderbolt 3 support and to instead reserve this feature for its higher-end Spectre and Omen series of notebooks. The ports are otherwise well positioned and easy to reach with none on the rear.
