Can i change my old athlon x4 635 quad core with phenom ll x6 1100t with same motherboard with socket am3

I wanna to ask that can i upgrade my old amd's athlon x4 635 (4cores & 4threads) to phenom x6 1100t (with more cores and threads) with my same motherboard with am3 socket
Because i want to play some newer games on 30+ fps.


My current pc specs:
Amd athlon x4 635 2.93ghz
8GB RAM DDR3
GT 730 4GB 120BITS AND DDR3
Psu is 250w(i can upgrade it to 450w if recommended)



Please answer to my question ASAP.
if my motherboard didn't support that processor then suggest me some to upgrade i'm a student so, i didn't have much money budget to buy new pc. Thanks.

why you ask for a low profile gpu in witch case this will be install .

I'd probably go GT 1030 or GTX 1050 at the most with that CPU.

For the price of a 1050 ti you can get the RX 570 which is a much better GPU however you'd be required to replace the PSU.

It will (don't ask me by how much as it's impossible to answer) but it's going to be a massive upgrade over your GT 730.

PUBG really requires a better CPU since it's a open world style game so even with a better GPU you may not get those FPS.

With your current setup what is your CPU & GPU usage while gaming?

I didn't download and installed that game in my pc but i saw on YouTube it gives 20-25fps
But recently i watch a video of live streamer on youtube on his 2017 setup in which it has intel q6600 core2quad and gtx 1050ti to play and stream games. So thats why i think about gtx 1050ti

Well your CPU is better then the Q6600 so it should give you better FPS but I don't usually trust YT vids, lots of fake ones out there.

My cpu is better then q6600 actually it is likely equal to q9550.
Yeah i know that videos on YouTube are also fake but the streamer about which i'm talking, he streams everyday he also shows his ram and cpu model in "my computer's properties "in his setup video

So yea if there getting 25-30 FPS on the Q6600 then you should be able to get more with your CPU but I can't say how much. A better GPU should give you a decent boost in FPS however I don't want to say that a new GPU will give you your 45-50 FPS on PUBG and find out that it didn't.
