Can I change my phenom II X4

I am now involved in online game play and am wondering if there is a better setup than I have at present.

There is always going to be a better setup in this industry. If you are happy with the performance of your current build just stick with it. IF not just get a new GPU.

Okay your idea doesn't involve spending money unnecessarily. The issue I have with my game play is judder in play, not very smooth.
Would over clocking help in anyway Greybush, btw the game is Borderlands2

Yea, overclocking the card will increase you FPS thus making gameplay smoother. Do you know how to Overclock the card?

Overclocking your card will do minimal improvement. If you're playing online, thre Athlon x4s are poor choices. This is the drop in fps you are experiencing, along with the GPU.
