Can i charge lenovo y700 overnight?

Because i had to download a really big file and it took overnight, will it cause overcharge

No. You can leave it plugged in all the time; it will not OVERcharge the battery. It stops charging once it is full, and then maintains that charge level. Some laptops stop arbitrarily at 95%
