Can i Combine GTX 770 4GB and 970 4GB ?

Hi i wanted to know if it's possible to combine gtx 770 4gb with gtx 970 4gb ?

My PC

CPU :Intel Core i7-4790K
RAM: Corsair Vengence 8GB DDR3 1600
GPU : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3X, 4GB
PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620w
HDD:1TB
Fan: 2 Silence 120mm , 1 Stock 92mm
Case: Zalaman

Only for Gameing.

Yes it's possible, but you'll have to use GTX 770 as a Physx card. And not on the current PSU.

Not in SLI! For SLI both cards have to be the same series that is GTX770 with GTX770 and GTX970 with GTX970!

I would like to emphasize that you cannot SLI the cards. But as MeteorsRaining stated, you can run one card a main GPU (970) and the second card as a Physx card (770).

So it's not possible to boost Game performance if i combine because gtx 770 4gb and gtx 970 4gb are 2 different cards ?

And they cannot be used in SLI :/

That means i have to sell my gtx 770 4gb because im leaning towards on Ultra and High graphics only for gaming in future. Also i have to change my PSU .

What PSU Should i go for if i use SLI what power do i need 700 - 800 w ?

Physx card does help in boosting game performance by taking some load off the primary GPU. And you can't SLI it, for obvious reasons. If you can afford 970 w/o selling 770, then you should keep it and use it as dedicated Physx card.
PS: Yes you need higher wattage PSU, in the lines of 700-800W.

Or sell it since it is if anything wasted as a PhysX card which can be handled by much lower card. Only a handful of games support PhysX anyway and you are better of selling the card and retain your current PSU or upgrade and SLI two GTX970.

I wouldnt do that using an Aerocool psu (they are junk). Plus using a 970 just for phsyx is a huge waste. You would be better off just selling the 980 and getting a 980 ti.
