My main hard drive is 500 gigs and its 99% full. Every time I try to download stuff i need to set the download location to my 2tb hard drive which gets annoying since I am a heavy downloader. Is there a way I can make my new hard drive the main or can i combine them? Can I just copy-paste everything from my C: to my E: or would that cause problems?
Thanks.

You can easily change the default location for your download folder, and the other Libraries.
Win 7 & 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirecting-static-files.html
Win 8.1 & 10: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redirecting-folders-drives.html

I understand the changing of download location but the more annoying part of the problem is not being able to update apps and games. Would it be unhealthy to copy-paste everything in my C: to me new one?

Sorry for the late response.

No, you can't just copy/paste "everything" from the 500GB to the 2TB.
Nor should there be any need to.

You just have to investigate exactly what is sucking up all that 500GB. There is undoubtedly a bunch of stuff that can be moved to the 2TB.
