Hey guys, so I have a problem,

This is my motherboard and CPU:

Intel i5-4460
Asrock B85M Pro-3

I have 1 4GB DDR3 1333mhz Kingmax ram and another 4GB DDR3 1600mhz, also Kingmax, but my PC wont turn on if I put them both into my mobo.

Does that mean that they're uncompatible for this motherboard? My pc was running just fine on my ASROCK iCaffe motherboard with both installed.

If they are not compatible on this motherboard, can I mix 1 of the Kingmax ram with Kingston brand ram but with the same specifications? I cannot buy another Kingmax ram since they're out of stock everywhere in my country, but they have Kingston.

Thank you in advance!

Solution
They are different in speed cuz Kingmax works at 1333MHz and different voltage. They can bot work if you go in BIOS and lower your ram memory clock to 1333MHz, however you won't benefit from that nor will you have dual channel memory boost. I'd rather sell Kingmax and buy another Kingston, make sure it's the same ram model like the one you already have.

Do you mean the difference in speed and different voltage between my 2 Kingmax RAMs? And can you please explain what I won't benefit if i go to bios, don't really get that, I dont get dual channel memory boost either, so if you could please explain that too, if not, I'll google it.

As for the other part, do you think I should sell my Kingmax RAMs and get 2 (two) Kingston RAMs?

I cannot mix KingMAX and KingSTON rams but with same specs?

Thanks for your time and sorry for bad English, it's not my first language.

1) Your Kingmax 1333MHz is different than 1600MHz therefore you can't make them work in dual channel memory that boost your total ram by another 30%.

2) In order to make both of your kingmax ram modules you currently have to work is to go into BIOS -> advanced settings -> memory clock and change it from 1600 to 1333MHz and the voltage to 1333MHz one (probably 1.2V but I'm speculating, check this before doing it)

3) If you want you dual channel memory to work you have to buy another 4GB RAM that is DDR3 with 1600MHz, same voltage and CAS latency as the Kingmax one <- this will be hard to find but it is doable, you just have to chack the properties of kingmax ram using a software like cpu-z that will show you everything you need to know.
Now even if you do find a ram module with the same specs as your kingmax 1600mhz ram there's a chance that dual channel memory won't work that's why you should always buy RAM modules that come together paired as kit (2x4,2x8 etc..)

For example specs of this ram - > http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-1600MHz-DDR3/dp/B00J8E92R6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1461754127&sr=8-2&keywords=kingston+ram+4gb

are :

Voltage 1.5 volts
Memory Speed 1600 MHz
Cas latency CL10
DDR3 ram

I hope you understood

Basically yes, so i should pretty much get 2x Kingston RAM for best performanse and since i cannot buy kingmax anywhere, right?
