Hi,
I'm thinking on buying a new RAM. My actual pc has 8 gb but I usually spend some time playing games and I need some more.

Now I have this: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB 2X4GB CL9-F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
And my motherboard: Asus M4A87TD/USB3-90-MIBCM5-G0EAY0WZ.

I have decided to buy the same as the one I have right now (I have two free slots in the motherboard yet), but I have only found the Ripjaws X, which seems to be the next generation. The rest is equal than the one I have.

So, my question is, should this one work well with the one I have?
Also, they all are DDR3, does it matters a lot? If I have a DDR3 now, does it makes sense to buy a DDR4?

Thanks for the help!

"Also, they all are DDR3, does it matters a lot? If I have a DDR3 now, does it makes sense to buy a DDR4?"
-You can't use DDR4 in DDR3 motherboard.

And no one can tell you if RAM sticks will match well, that is why they should be bought in kit(s).
There is small chance that they won't work with each other but that chance is <5% .
Just be sure to get same voltage RAM and it must be DDR3.

Good luck!
