I just bought a Predator Helios 300 (G3-571) with i7 7700HQ - GTX 1060 6GB - 6GB RAM and a 60hz display, my laptop also have HDMI 2.0 output. I wonder if I can connect my laptop to a external monitor with higher refresh rate like 120hz/144hz and get that higher refresh rate? And if my HDMI 2.0 output not support higher refresh rate on external monitor, can I use HDMI to Displayport Converter (like this: https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-Disp...rdware-1454644570651687610-20#customerReviews) to connect to external monitor and get that higher refresh rate? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can connect using HDMI directly if you get a monitor that supports 120+ Hz over HDMI. See section 5 here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/how-to-connect-to-a-120-hz-display.3268285/

There are also HDMI to DisplayPort adapters available for up to 1080p 120 Hz if you have a monitor that doesn't support more than 60 Hz over HDMI (but most newer models do).
Oh thank you very much for the help. And does my external monitor need any requirement? Or just a 120hz/144hz monitor with HDMI/Displayport output?

If you want to connect via HDMI, you need a monitor that support 120+ Hz over HDMI. Some older 144 Hz monitors are limited to 60 Hz over HDMI. There's a list of compatible monitors in section 7 of the thread I linked.
