So I have been trying to connect a VGA monitor as a second monitor with my primary monitor being connected through DVI but it just says "No Signal" whenever I try to connect it. I have been troublesearching the internet without finding anything to help my problems. I assume I have been trying to connect the VGA monitor through my motherboard, although I'm not an expert on hardware whatsoever. Would gladly appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

System specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670
Microsoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bit

Don't know if more information is needed.

Solution
Since you have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 plugged in, your graphics from your motherboard is disabled. That's why you're not getting a signal. What you need to do is use one of the other output connectors on the graphics card. I think this card has 2 DVI ports on it. So, leave your current monitor as is. Then, for the other monitor, you can use a DVI to VGA cable or a DVI cable with a DVI to VGA adaptor.
