Can i connect DVI-D output to a DVI-I input ?

I have a Dual Link DVI-I input on my monitor

but the graphics card i want to buy has a Dual Link DVI-D [strike]input[/strike] output

so if a buy a male DL DVI-D cable will it work ?

You would just need an adapter from DVI-D to dvi-i and it will work. Picking them from a local store would be a cost of 5 usd

but my monitor wants both analog and digital i think, a dvi-d cable provides only digital will it be enough ?

Monitor can accept both analog and digital signals, but needed is only one of them.
If your graphics card gives out only digital DVI-D, then there's no way you can feed analog signal into monitor from it
(without additional adapters).

True, your monitor can accept analog or digital, but it doesn't need both.

It's only going to use digital in your case because that's the only type of signal that your GPU can send to it.
