Can i connect GPU fan to molex?

Hi i got this old sapphire radeon hd4730 and it seems like the fan is about to die. I want to know if i could connect a bigger 92mm fan to molex to run at max speed always. The fan is 2 pin but the stock one is 4 pin. Will GPU start without a fan plugged in it?

Yep, you should be fine useing a molex fan with the gpu, the gpu doesnt need the fans to be spinning to start up.
