Can I connect HDMI and DVI to one HD5xxx card?

I have two monitors. One has both HDMI and DVI inputs, and the other just one DVI input. I was outputting my video and sound through a single HDMI cable into one monitor. I'd like to use this other monitor and run dual monitors, and was wondering if I could continue to do what I've been doing with my one main monitor outputting via HDMI and just connect the other to one of the two DVI outputs on the back of my vid card for the second monitor and still retain sound and video on the HDMI connected monitor? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Short answer: Yes, You can.
I have been doing this for the past few weeks on my HD 5770, and it works very fluidly.
