Can i connect my laptop to my desktop and use my desk top s firewire output

my laptop doesn't have firewire can i connect it to my desktop and use my desktop's firewire output

emm no not really, what is it your actually trying to do?

if im understanding you correctly, you need to get data from a device using firewire, onto your laptop? but dont have firewire on your laptop and only on your desktop pc? is this right?

if that is so, then i suppose you can download the data to your desktop, then share the data on your network and access and copy it to your laptop that way, but you cant just connect a laptop directly to pc as far as i know
