So, this is my first time buying and building a PC(I'm a total noob). The motherboard I am interested in buying is called "ASRock-AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard". The question is how or can I even connect this to the internet? I can't use an ethernet cable because my mom said no. So does it connect to the internet on its own or do I have to buy a WiFi card? Is this thing even compatible with a WiFi card?

Solution

Yes, it has built in WiFi.

"Intel® 802.11ac+ BT 4.2"

Now...Since this is your 'first time', and this is not a usual motherboard for a first timer...care to tell us all your other parts?

What the heck. I have no idea how to use this forum. Anyways, the other parts are: AMD-Ryzen 3 1200 3.1 GHz Quad Core Processor, GeIL- EVO POTENZA 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory, 1TB, EVGA-GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB-GAMING Video Card, Cooler Master-N200 MicroATX Mini Tower Case, Silverstone-300W 80+ Bronze Certified SFX Power Supply, and Microsoft Windows 10.

OK, just checking. That is a reasonable low cost system.
Don't expect uber frame rates in games, but it is OK.
No glaring faults.

... apart from using a 300W PSU.

Better replace that with a 450W, to have some buffer ... 300W with a GTX 1060 3G is too tight.

The price difference between the 300W model and the 450W model is exactly 10 bucks, on Newegg.
Best 10 dollars you ever spent.

Cheers,
