Question Can i connect VDG cable to 3 pin fan connector?

Hello, i found VDG cable on my new case, and don't know where to connect it, i searched it on google, and few people said to connect it to 3 pin fan connector, but some people said to not, so i will ask here, can i connect it to 3pin fan connector or not? I have this motherboard gigabyte GA-990FX-UD7 rev 1.

No you can't. Unless you want to fry your motherboard, in order to render it an expensive paperweight. Your motherboard lacks the necessary connection.

This is my new case - SilentiumPC Regnum RG6V EVO TG ARGB

So if i want to connect VDG cable, i need to buy new motherboard with those connections right? But atleast i can control LEDS with button on top of the case. Also thank you for fast reply
