[SOLVED] Can I connect Windows 10 tablet to a Windows 10 PC without wifi?

I'm trying to find out if I can connect a windows 10 tablet to a PC via USB or a certain application. I'm trying to avoid getting a USB network adapter.

Yes, but my PC doesn't so how could I project my screen?

What is the use case?

Even if you manage to connect them over WiFi / Ethernet, "Project to this PC" depends on a lot of things.

As for connection: You need some common media. Whether this will be a WiFi adapter for the PC (USB or PCI/PCIe), or a $15 router to create common network, it does not matter. Once you do that, you can try projection, or remote control.

Seconding @Alabalcho 's question regarding "use case".

An ad hoc network may be a way to establish the desired/required connectivity.
