[SOLVED] Can I convert laptop MMC card reader as external?

I have MMC reader taken out of Lenovo G50-70 laptop can I convert it to be used as externally via USB port. It has 18 FPC wire with one USB port and and one headphone/mic jack. I have sorted out pins for USB- 1, 10, 14, 15 and headphone/mic- 1,2,4,6,7,8. Well MMC reader have 11 pins. Can anybody help me. Thank you!

It's best you grab a card reader off the shelf, brand new instead of repurposing parts salvaged from a laptop. Also helps you avoid driver related issues.
