[SOLVED] Can I convert my MSI DVD Rom to USB format? If so, how?

Hello; I'm currently setting up my operation system for a recent pc build of mine. However, I am wondering whether or not it is possible to safely convert my DVD ROM to a USB format on a 2.0/3.0 flash drive. I assume there is no harm in doing so but I have seen nothing related to how the information on the DVD should be transferred without damaging the contents of the BIOS/etc. Does anyone have any advice as to how this can be done if at all possible?
Motherboard type: MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS Motherboard (AMD AM4, PCIe 4.0, DDR4, SATA 6Gb/s, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI, ATX)
