Question Can i convert this ATX power supply into a lab bench power supply?

Hello. I have a HIPRO 300 watt power supply from an old machine from 2009 or so. This model had an 80mm exhaust fan and I have previously removed it for a desk fan project. Quality of this PSU seems to be mixed but fine for what I need. Tearing apart the power supply I saw the electrolytic capacitors are mostly Teapo branded which score 2nd on the tom's hardware cap tier list. Unfortunately, the biggest 2 capacitors and a few small capacitors are from the Elite brand, which is 4th tier. I see a few yellow rectangle capacitors (mylar perhaps) from the brand Carli and they seem to be found in low-end car audio equipment. The transformers say HIPRO on them.

Can I use this power supply without the fan for projects that will only draw a few watts?

If the power supply will only work in idle this shouldn´t be a problem.

If you connect valuable hardware to it, do have in mind that this could be damaged with such a PSU setup.

Be sure the ambient temperature is not exceeding 22 to 25°C (just what I think that should be ok)

You could simply get another fan in or fix it near the exhaust.
