Can i copy recovery disc from toshiba laptop to a acer laptop?

no you cannot use recovery disks from toshiba

if you don't have acer recovery disks, contact acer they can mail you a copy for a fee

Do you need to rescue some personal files off your laptop?
You can use a bootable LiveCD to do that. They are a whole OS on a CD (or USB thumb drive).

actually my friend has an Emachine 642 not an acer-tried pressing alt and f10 but the recovery management wont work-the laptop continues to reboot but wont begin Windows-wont start in Safe mode either-my friend was told that she needed a recovery disk-is that the only way her laptop will start up and i assume now it has to be Recovery Disk from another Emachines running Win 7-am I correct???????
